And that’s a wrap for actor Robert Redford.
According to Entertainment Weekly, 81-year-old Redford said he will follow through with his promise in 2016 and that The Old Man & The Gun will be his last film.
Redford said to EW, “Never say never, but I pretty well concluded that this would be it for me in terms of acting, and [I’ll] move towards retirement after this ’cause I’ve been doing it since I was 21. I thought, Well, that’s enough. And why not go out with something that’s very upbeat and positive?”
The Old Man & The Gun is directed by David Lowery and is “based on the true story of Forrest Tucker and his audacious escape from San Quentin at the age of 70 to an unprecedented string of heists that confounded authorities and enchanted the public.”
Redford was vague when asked about directing.
The Old Man & The Gun releases Sept. 28, 2018.
