Long overdue Incredibles 2 is a solid sequel

The Incredibles 2 has a lot to live up to, especially after many fans of the 2004 classic have been patiently — well, as patiently as they can — for a continuation of one of our favorite families.

There’s so much to like about this film, and director/writer Brad Bird gives those who love the first more of the same. The action sequences can be intense and are always spectacles, both in pure fun and animation quality.

While Jack Jack and Co. are cute, fun and there’s a nice family lesson to be learned in this film, there’s one question that I asked myself after the credits ran: Is this sequel worth the 14-year wait?

No, but let me explain why.
