Adrift is a forgettable tale of love, survival

Director Baltasar Kormákur (2 Guns, Contraband) attempts to tell a heartfelt, true story of two lovers who get stranded at sea. Shailene Woodley stars as Tami, a San Diego gal who escapes her U.S. lifestyle for Tahiti. There, she finds British charmer Richard (Sam Claflin). Both fall madly in love with one another and decide to take a job that entails simply transporting a boat back to, well, Tami’s hometown.
