Time to churn the rumor and news mill for Star Wars: Episode IX. A recent report claims director J.J. Abrams and casting director Nina Gold are searching for a female actor with “captivating naturalness and ease to her manner.”
That Hashtag Show reports that the crew was originally looking to cast for the role of “MARA.” But on Monday, new casting details surfaced for the role Caro. Who this character is, I have zero clue. But she’s reportedly described as a “leader and problem solver, smart with a great sense of humor and a strong will. All this comes to her effortlessly. ”
THS added that this is a role with the preferences of “an African-American, 18-26 years old, to portray a character by the name of Caro. Caro is described as having a ‘captivating naturalness and ease to her manner.'”
Cheers to more female leads alongside actor Daisy Ridley!
Star Wars: Episode IX is set to hit theaters on Dec. 20, 2019.
