Truth or Dare provides zero originality, zero fun

Before Truth or Dare began, our screening displayed the usual: a title card with who directed and wrote the script. What stood out to me was the fact that four people wrote this screenplay! And the film suffered for this, among other things. There were jarring bits of humor where the tension was beginning to build, and there were heartfelt moments between characters that never felt right.

To be honest, this film knows its demographic: teeny-boppers that will flock to the theater for a quick hour and a half ride. Unfortunately, this ride isn’t worth the price of admission.

I was invited to an advanced screening of this film for purposes of this review, thanks to Universal Pictures and Sly Fox. ❤

Truth or Dare is rated PG-13, runs 1 hour and 40 minutes and hits theaters April 13, 2018.
