Hollywood has seen its share of big time personalities crumble due to sexual assault claims. See the most recent: Harvey Weinstein.
Now, Honest Trailers’ creator Andy Signore is the latest to get the boot. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Defy Media has fired Signore in light of claims made by multiple women. Defy owns the Screen Junkies YouTube channel where Signore worked.
THR said that, in a statement posted Sunday to the news outlet, they’ve cut ties with him.
“DEFY Media and Screen Junkies have today terminated Andy Signore’s employment, effective immediately. There is simply no justification for this egregious and intolerable behavior. In August, DEFY’s HR team was made aware of allegations made against Andy, at which time an investigation was launched. On Friday, new information became available and the scope and magnitude of his inappropriate actions became apparent.”
Two accusers came forward on social media, and the accusations became public on Thursday and Friday.
Emma Bowers said, Thursday, that she worked for Signore as an intern, THR reports, in 2010. Bowers claims Signore made comments about masturbating to photos of her and asked her to come over so he could do that in person.
