There’s never any downtime in the Harry Potter universe and, less than a month after Harry Potter celebrated its anniversary, new details emerged from the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them sequel.
According to Variety, principal shooting has begun near London, where the Harry Potter films were shot. Warner Bros. released new details, as well, surrounding the untitled sequel. Eddie Redmayne of course returns, but this time faces a different foe: Gellert Grindelwald, played by Johnny Depp.
What I’m excited to see is how Jude Law handles the role of young Albus Dumbledore.
Warner Bros. also added,
“Grindelwald has made a dramatic escape and has been gathering more followers to his cause – elevating wizards above all non-magical beings. The only one who might be able to stop him is the wizard he once called his dearest friend, Albus Dumbledore. But Dumbledore will need help from the wizard who had thwarted Grindelwald once before, his former student Newt Scamander.”
Director David Yates returns for this sequel, which is expected to release Nov. 2018.
Two down, three to go for this Fantastic franchise.
