Lucasfilms and Disney are not resting on the marketing trail for their newest installment in the Star Wars universe. “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” premiered on Good Morning America, Thursday, and showed a little over a minute of goodies for fans.

The trailer gives us a feel of director Gareth Edwards story’s tone, which seems to be darker than Episode VII.
Felicity Jones plays what I presume to be the leader of this new crew, Jyn Erso. Erso is a rebel that is given instructions to grab information about a new superweapon — the Death Star.
The story takes place between the events of Episodes III and IV and brings a fresh ensemble together. Donnie Yen of “Ip Man” fame is shown in the teaser twirling a staff, which almost got me out of my seat. Forest Whitaker, Alan Tudyk (“Firefly”) and others also come together to help foil the Empire’s plans.
“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” premieres Dec. 16, 2016.
